躯干虽小腹中宽，
Was short but broad in his mind all along,
爱养将士同心肝。
With a love for his men bold and strong.
骠骠父马铁锻鞍，
He rode an iron-saddled steed in flight,
七尺大刀奋如湍，
And waved his seven-feet broadsword with might
丈八蛇矛左右盘，
And his eighteen-feet spear left and right,
十荡十决无当前。
Cutting and thrusting bravely in the fight.
战始三交失蛇矛，
When he lost his spearhead in the third round,
弃我骠骠窜岩幽，
He dismounted his horse, running mountain-bound,
为我外援而悬头。
But was slaughtered when he turned around.
四流之水东流河，
Like waters that flow west and then flow east,
一去不还奈子何！
The warrior ne'er returns when he deceased.
