越王勾踐破吳歸，
The King of Yue① returned, having destroyed the foe,
義士還家盡錦衣，
His loyal men came home, with silken dress aglow,
宮女如花滿春殿，
His palace thronged with flower-like ladies fair;
只今惟有鷓鴣飛。
Now we see but a frock of partridges flying there.
