」孔子曰：「為人下者，其猶土乎！
“If you sow seeds in it, the various grains and cereals will all spring up from it; and, if you dig into it, sweet springs will issue forth from it.
The plants and trees depend on it to grow, and the birds and beasts depend on it to live.
種之則五榖生焉，掘之則甘泉出焉，草木植焉，禽獸育焉，生人立焉，死人入焉，177多其功而不言。
The living stand on it, and the dead go into it.
為人下者，其猶土乎！」
If you praise its good works, it says nothing.
A person of low position is like the soil, surely.
