」諺曰:「誡無詬,思無辱。
」夫不誡不思,而以存身全國者,亦難矣。
詩曰:「戰戰兢兢,如臨深淵,如履薄冰。
」此之謂也。
Sages regard lapses in diligent care with the utmost gravity and concern. A passage in the Doctrine of the Mean says, “Nothing is more evident than what is hidden and nothing more obvious than what is minute; a man of quality is therefore careful even of his solitude.
