魯有孔丘，吾殺此三人，則天下可圖也。
If I kill these three people, I will then be in a position to start planning ways to gain mastery of the realm.” He thereupon summoned Ze Ming and Du Chou to his court, gave them great responsibilities, and afterward killed them.

Then he sent a man to Lu to offer a position to Kongzi.
使人聘孔子於魯。
When Kongzi came to the Yellow River, he gazed at the water and said, “Beautiful is the surging water!
孔子至河，臨水而觀，曰：「美哉水，洋洋乎！
丘之不濟於此，命也夫！」
That I shall not cross here is my destiny!
