君子不以愧食，不以辱得。
A man of quality does not do shameful things in order to eat and does not endure disgrace in order to gain position. A man of quality takes delight in achieving his aims; a petty person takes delight in attaining success in his work.
君子樂得其志，小人樂得其事。
君子不以其所不愛，及其所愛也。
A man of quality does not use what he does not love to approach those whom he does love.
