Living with bad people is like living in a fish market where abalone is sold—one gradually ceases to be aware of the fishy stench and is thus transformed by them as well.
故曰，丹之所藏者赤，烏之所藏者黑，君子慎所藏。」
Thus, it is said that what cinnabar harbors is the color red and that what a crow harbors is the color black.
A man of quality cannot but be wary of what he harbors.
