嵩高山，中嶽也。
五嶽何以視三公？
能大布雲雨焉，能大斂雲雨焉。
雲，觸石而出，膚寸而合，不崇朝而雨天下。
施德博大，故視三公也。
Mount Tai 泰山 is the eastern sacred mountain; Mount Huo 霍山 is the southern sacred mountain; Mount Hua 華山 is the western sacred mountain; Mount Chang 常山 is the northern sacred mountain; and Mount Songgao 嵩高山 is the central sacred mountain. Why are the sacred mountains thought to be akin to the Three Lords ?
