The marquis donned white mourning clothes and absented himself from the main palace for five days.
群臣皆素服而弔。
His court officers all dressed in mourning as well and presented their commiserations.
公子成父獨不弔。
Only Prince Cheng-fu63 failed to follow suit.
文侯復殿，公子成父趨而入賀曰：「甚大善矣，夫御廩之災也。」
When the marquis returned to the main palace, Prince Cheng-fu hurried in to congratulate him, saying, “What an excellent thing this is—the fire in the royal storehouse!
