魯有儉者，瓦鬲煮食，食之而美，盛之土鉶之器，以進孔子。
孔子受之，歡然而悅，如受太牢之饋。
There was a thrifty man in Lu who used a clay pot to cook a meal.
弟子曰：「瓦甂，陋器也。
煮食薄膳也。
On eating it, he found it tasty, so he put some in an earthen container and presented it to Kongzi.
而先生何喜如此乎？
」孔子曰：「吾聞好諫者思其君，食美者念其親。
吾非以饌為厚也，以其食美而思我親也。」
Kongzi received it with great pleasure, as if receiving a share in a great sacrificial feast.
