公明宣學於曾子，三年不讀書。
曾子曰：「宣，175而居參之門，三年不學，何也？
」公明宣曰：「安敢不學？
宣見夫子居宮庭，親在，叱吒之聲未嘗至於犬馬；宣說之，學而未能。
