兰蕙化为刍。
Their timbers are regarded as mere snags.
贤者虽独悟，
所困在群愚。
The sages are alone to keep awake, But they are hindered by fools of every make.
且各守尔分，
勿复空驰驱。
The sages had better yield to their own fate And take no futile pains at any rate.
哀哉复哀哉，
此是命矣夫!
Alas! Alas! Heaven and earth benign! To the destined fate we must resign!
