松柏夹广路。
下有陈死人,
Coming are the days of old age and decay. Outside the city gate on the stretching grounds,
杳杳即长暮。
潜寐黄泉下,
I see nothing but graves and mounds. The ancient tombs are levelled into flat ground;
千载永不寤。
浩浩阴阳移,
The pines and cypress trees are lying around. The wind is howling among the poplar trees,
年命如朝露。
人生忽如寄,
The moanings make me sad and ill at ease. How I wish to go back home care-free,
寿无金石固。
But the way home is still closed to me.
