汉魏六朝诗三百首/暂使下都夜发新林至京邑赠西府同僚

While my heart is filled with strong dismay.

Although I know full well the capital is near,

I know also Jingzhou is far from here.

The autumn river glimmers in the morn;

The chilly islands still look dim at dawn.

I look ahead and palaces catch my sight,

With their walls extending left and right.

The golden moonlight shines o'er the towers

While stars have gone behind the hall like showers.

When I drive to the capital's southern gate,

My thoughts of former king by no means abate.
