汉魏六朝诗三百首/之宣城郡出新林浦向板桥

The river water to the northeast flows.

In the distance I discern a homeward boat

And notice trees on misty banks remote.

I feel so dizzy at the break of day,

But I’ve been used to go alone on my way.

This time I can both hold official post

And live a cozy life beside the coast.

I can thus stay away from worldly care

And do whatever I like over there.

Although I can’t fulfill my lofty will,

I’ll stay safe in the mist of Southern Hill.
