洞庭有归客，
At sunset the south is filled with fresh spring air. I meet a guest returning from Dongting Lake,
潇湘逢故人。
故人何不返？
Who says that he once met my man o'er there. Why does my man not want to come back home?
春华复应晚。
不道新知乐，
He should have known that spring will never stay. He does not say that he has changed his mind,
只言行路远。
But only says that he's too far away.
