The Jiang Stream links the state of Western Jin;
机桥指北燕。
The snare bridge joins the northern Yan with Qin.
奔流下激石，
The torrent pounds the rocks and rushes by;
古木上参天。
The ancient trees are towering to the sky.
莺啼落春后，
The warblers start to sing on late spring day;
雁度在秋前。
In early autumn wild geese are on their way.
平生屡此别，
As I have gone on errands to and fro,
肠断自催年。
I shall die young because of grievous woe.
