I’m honoured like the ancient saint Zichan
羁旅接陈完。
And stay abroad like the ancient prince Chen Wan.
寓卫非所寓，
This is not the place where I should stay
安齐独未安。
Or relish pleasure for another day.
雪泣悲去鲁，
With smothered tears I leave and go abroad
凄然忆相韩。
But still remember my service for my lord.
唯彼穷途恸，
Ashamed of my career, I’m filled with woe,
知余行路难。
Not knowing which the way is for me to go.
