Stand near Heyang and I can see Luoyang. When the bright sun shines above the roof,

I can see eaves and angles rise aloof. When sunset glow spreads all o'er the sky,

The crystal river flows discreetly by. The noisy birds abound on springtime isles

While various flowers stretch for miles and miles. Leaving, I can hardly tear myself away,

With feasts at home in mind from day to day. At the thought of my precarious career,

I feel my eyes begin to shed a tear. For those who long for their hometown with care,
