誰云秋興悲？
山將落日去，
Who says that autumn’s sad? Hills bring down setting sun;
水與晴空宜。
魯酒白玉壺，
Water and sky seem one. Drink wine from pot jade-white;
送行駐金羈。
歇鞍憩古木，
From golden horse alight. Repouse and set it free;
解帶挂橫枝。
歌鼓川上亭，
Hang belt upon old tree. Chant by the stream aloud!
曲度神飆吹。
雲歸碧海夕，
Songs soar into the cloud. Back to blue sea clouds fly,
雁沒青天時。
相失各萬里，
Wild geese lost in blue sky. Like them we’ll sever too,
茫然空爾思。
In vain I’ll long for you.
