』天帝曰：『魚固人之所射也，若是，豫且何罪？
If the white dragon had not changed its form, Yu Qie would not have cast his spear.
』夫白龍，天帝貴畜也，豫且，宋國殘臣也，白龍不化，豫且不射。
But now Your Lordship wishes to abandon your position as ruler of a ten-thousand-chariot state and go drinking with men dressed in coarse cloth.
今君棄萬乘之位，而從布衣之士飲酒，臣恐其有豫且之患矣。
