Worries are assumed there by those on top and pleasures enjoyed by those below.
」明年，又使豚君觀焉。
Jin moreover has a worthy officer named Shen Ju.31” The following year King Zhuang again sent Tun Yin to observe the state, and on his return he said, “Now it can be done.
反，曰：「可矣！
The worthy officer who was there before is now dead, and many flatterers are in the ruler’s dwelling.
初之賢人死矣，諂諛多在君之廬者，其君好樂而無禮，其下危處以怨上。
The ruler is fond of pleasure and ignores the rites, while those in low position feel insecure and resent their superiors.
上下離心，興師伐之，其民必先反。
The different classes are no longer of one mind; if we raise an army and attack them, the people will surely respond by rebelling against their leaders.” King Zhuang took Tun Yin’s advice, and the results were just as he had predicted.
