齊侯問於晏子曰：「當今之時，諸侯孰危？
The marquis of Qi said to Yanzi, “Which among the vassal states is most in danger at the present time?” “Ju will surely perish” was the reply.
」對曰：「莒其亡乎！
“For what reason?” asked the marquis.
」公曰：「奚故？
“Its territory is being invaded by Qi, and its goods are being appropriated by Jin; that is why it will perish,” said Yanzi.
」對曰：「地侵於齊，貨謁於晉，是以亡也。」
