When his chariot’s canopy was aloft, he would always be standing beneath it; when his chariots and men were unable to advance, he would always give orders to assist them.
壘合而後敢處，井灶成而後敢食。
Only when his encampments were formed did he dare take his ease, and only when his wells and hearths were complete did he dare partake of food.

One who governs troops like this must of a certainty enjoy their support.
