何處飛來雙白鷺？
A pair of egrets white
如有意，
As if inclined to care
慕娉婷。
For maidens fair.
忽聞江上弄哀箏。
Suddenly on the stream music comes to the ear.
苦含情。
Who would not hear
遣誰聽？
Such feeling drear?
煙紡雲收、依約是湘靈。
Away clouds and mist clear;
欲待曲終尋取問，
The Spirit of River Xiang seems to appear.
人不見，
When music ends, I would inquire for the lutist dear.
數峰青。
She seems to disappear,
