At its 35th meeting, on 9 December, the Committee had before it a draft resolution entitled “Promotion of new and renewable sources of energy, including the implementation of the World Solar Programme” (A/C.2/60/L.53) submitted by the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Stefano Toscano (Switzerland), on the basis of informal consultations held on draft resolution A/C.2/60/L.28 (see A/C.2/60/SR.35).
