Is fair and pure as winter frost and snow.

It’s made into a fan with loving taste,
团团似明月。
Shaped as the moon, round and shiny-faced.
出入君怀袖，
The fan bobs in and out of your wide sleeve,
动摇微风发。
Stirring gentle breezes morn and eve.
常恐秋节至，
However, it always fears that autumn stays
凉飙夺炎热。
When cold winds drive away the sultry days.
弃捐箧笥中，
It’s cast aside and laid up on the shelf;
恩情中道绝。
No longer in favour, it is left by itself.
