I utter to the fowl:
水深激激,
Here we die and here we stay;
蒲苇冥冥。
How can decayed flesh ever stray?”
枭骑战斗死,
The river runs deep and weary;
弩马徘徊鸣。
The reeds grow dense and dreary.
梁筑室,
The gallant horses died in battle array;
何以南、何以北?
The wounded horses pace the ground and neigh.
禾黍不获君何食?
Why are people called forth,
愿为忠臣安可得?
Sometimes to the south,
思子良臣,
Sometimes to the north?
