水何澹澹，
I view the vast East Sea at will. The waters quietly ebb and flow;
山岛竦峙。
树木丛生，
The island mountains skyward go. The trees are growing dense and green;
百草丰茂。
秋风萧瑟，
The grass is sprouting lush and clean. When autumn winds sweep o'er the shore,
洪波涌起。
日月之行，
Huge waves and billows surge and roar. The sun and the moon on their way
若出其中。
星汉灿烂，
Seem to rise there from day to day. The stars that shine bright in the sky
若出其里。
Seem to grow there far and nigh.
