As fragrant orchids line the lucid brook,
繁华荫绿渚。
Green banks are strewn with blooms of every kind.
佳人不在兹，

取此欲谁与？
To whom shall I present the flowers all?
巢居知风寒，
Birds in nests face chilly winds in fear,
穴处识阴雨。
And beasts in caves know heavy rains that fall.
不曾远别离，
If we had not lived far, far apart,
