丹气临暘谷。
翳翳结繁云,
Which rises slowly from behind the mound. When hanging clouds begin to move and run,
森森散雨足。
轻风摧劲草,
The rain comes rushing to the arid ground. The gentle breezes crush the stalwart grass;
凝霜辣高木。
密叶日夜疏,
The frost has made trees quiver in the breeze. Luxuriant leaves begin to fall en masse;
丛林森如束。
畴昔叹时迟,
The forest stands at last with barren trees. When I was young, I said the days were slow;
晚节悲年促。
岁暮怀百忧,
Now I am old, I say the days are short. My aging years have worried me with woe;
将从季主卜。
I'll follow Jizhu, leaving in consort.
