Lin's hangers-on betrayed and turned to Lian;
田窦相夺移。
Dou's hangers-on betrayed and turned to Tian.
晨风集茂林，
The falcons fly to lush woods in spring breeze,
栖鸟去枯枝。
When autumn comes, they leave the arid trees.
今我唯困蒙，
Now that I get into a serious plight,
群士所背驰。
The gentlemen have all stayed out of sight.
乡人敦懿义，
The villagers, however, welcome me,
济济荫光仪。
Respecting me and holding feasts in glee.
举觞咏露斯。
They dine and wine me as an honoured guest
临乐何所叹，
And toast to me and wish me all the best.
素丝与路歧。
