晨积展游眺。
孤客伤逝湍，
I start to view the morning scenery then. Boat farers are saddend when the rills flow deep;
徒旅苦奔峭。
石浅水潺湲，
Road travellers are tired when the hills rise steep. In deeper bar, rapidly the water flows;
日落山照耀。
荒林纷沃若，
At sunset mountains shroud themselves in glows. In the verdant forest that is green and wild,
哀禽相叫啸。
遭物悼迁斥，
The birds are wailing in voices soft and mild. On sight of this, I grieve o'er my sad fate,
存期得要妙。
既秉上皇心，
Yet hope provides me with the wit to wait. Since I've learned the core of ancient Tao,
岂屑末代消。
目睹严子濑，
I do not care about ridicule now. I watch the bar afar where Yan Guang fishes,
想属任公钓。
谁谓古今殊，
Dreaming of the fish as huge as wishes. Who says that there exists an idea gap?
异代可同调。
潜虬媚幽姿，
Different people may share the same mishap. A hidden dragon lies in wait at ease;
飞鸿响远音。
薄霄愧云浮，
A soaring wild goose warbles in the breeze. Unlike the wild goose, I can't quietly lie;
栖川作渊沉。
进德智所拙，
Unlike the dragon, I cannot soar to the sky. To rise in ranks, I am too proud to yield;
退耕力不任。
狗禄反穷海，
Meanwhile, I am too weak to plough the field. To seek office, I come to a wretched place,
