There in Youzhou and Jizhou, cold runs wild.
北寒妾已知，
I know that it is cold up in the north,
南心君不见。
But you don’t see what warmth of heart pours forth.
谁为道辛苦，
Who will tell my man o'er a thousand li?
寄情双飞燕。
Two sparrows are to carry words for me.
形追杼煎丝，
I know that you're as busy as a bee,
颜落风催电。
While my beauty wanes as fast as can be.
容华一朝尽，
Although my charming looks may fade some day,
惟余心不变。
My loyalty to you will remain the same way.
