The river waves crawl,
秋月照浦云歇山。
The moonlight shines and high clouds sprawl.
秋思不可裁，
My autumn grief will never cease,
复带秋风来。
Companion to autumn breeze.
秋风来已寒，
With autumn breeze cold days begin;
白露惊罗纨。
The frost reminds me that my robes are thin.
节士慷慨发冲冠，
The man of virtue steams and cries aloud,
弯弓挂若木，
With his bow hanging on the sacred tree
长剑竦云端。
And his sword pointing toward the cloud.
