南关绕桐柏，
To southward side the mount connects Tongbai; Toward the west the Luyang Pass does lie.
西岳出鲁阳。
寒郊无留影，
In open fields, no shadows are in sight; The autumn sun is shedding its cool light.
秋日悬清光。
悲风挠重林，
Through the trees the sad wind blows aloud; The rising flood is merged into the cloud.
云霞肃川涨。
岁晏君如何？
What am I to do at the end of the year? My robes are moistened by my every tear.
零泪沾衣裳。
玉柱空掩露，
The lute is laid aside and wet with dew; The cups are lying there to wait for you.
金樽坐含霜。
一闻苦寒奏，
First comes the tune of Pain and Cold so sad, Then the tune of Prelude makes me mad.
