I did not come back till the sun had set.
还闻稚子说，
When I returned, my little son said soon,
侯从皆珠玑，
"A guest came to our house this afternoon.
裘马悉轻肥。
His uniformed followers came in a file;
轩盖照墟落，
His stalwart steeds were in the grandest style.
传瑞生光辉。
His carriage offered such a splendid sight;
此道今已微。
His precious jadewear glittered in the light."
物情弃疵贱，
It may have been Xuzhou's prefect, I guess,
何独顾衡闹？
On second thought, it may be no or yes.
恨不具鸡黍，
Friendship was once valued in the past,
得与故人挥。
But this tradition will no longer last.
