本條例旨在就設立和管理一個名為李寶椿慈善信託基金的信託基金，以 及就相關的目的訂定條文。
To provide for the establishment and administration of a trust fund to be known as the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund and for the purposes connected therewith.
本條例可引稱為《李寶椿慈善信託基金條例》。
This Ordinance may be cited as the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund Ordinance.
在本條例中，除文意另有所指外─
In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-
“委員會”(committee) 指按照第5條條文設立的李寶椿慈善信託基金 委員會；
“committee” (委員會) means the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund Committee established in accordance with the provisions of section 5;
“基金”(fund) 指李寶椿慈善信託基金。
“fund” (基金) means the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund;
“成員”(member) 指委員會成員；
“member” (成員) means a member of the committee;
“受託人”(trustee) 指作為基金受託人的政務司法團； (由1985年 第68號法律公告修訂；由1989年第263號法律公告修訂)
“trustee” (受託人) means the Secretary for Home Affairs Incorporated as trustee of the fund. (Amended L.N. 68 of 1985; L.N. 263 of 1989)
(2) 委員會可不時代表受託人徵求和接受對基金的捐贈及遺贈：
(2) The committee may, from time to time, solicit and accept on behalf of the trustee donations and bequests to the fund:
但委員會接受向基金作出的任何其他捐贈，須以基金的名稱保持不變為 條件。
Provided that it shall be a condition of the acceptance by the committee of any further donations to the fund that the name of the fund shall remain unchanged.
(2) 受託人須以信託形式並以本條例下文所載權力及條文，以及在該等 權力及條文的規限下，持有基金。
(2) The trustee shall hold the fund upon the trusts and with and subject to the powers and provisions hereinafter contained in this Ordinance.
(1) 基金須由一個委員會管理，該委員會名為李寶椿慈善信託基金委員 會，其成員如下─
(1) The fund shall be administered by a committee to be known as the Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund Committee which shall consist of-
(a) 政務司，由他出任委員會主席； (由1985年第67號法律公告修訂 ；由1989年第262號法律公告修訂)
(a) the Secretary for Home Affairs who shall be the chairman of the committee; (Amended L.N. 67 of 1985; L.N. 262 of 1989)
(b) 李寶椿的一名兒子，由總督委任；及
(b) a son of Li Po Chun who shall be appointed by the Governor; and
(c) 其他成員不多於4名，由總督委任。
(c) not more than 4 other members appointed by the Governor.
(2) 由總督根據第(1)(b)款委任的李寶椿的兒子，可─
(2) The son of Li Po Chun appointed by the Governor under subsection (1)(b) may-
(a) 藉契據委任李寶椿的任何後裔，在他在生時替代他作為委員會成員 ；或
(a) by deed appoint any descendant of Li Po Chun in his stead as a member of the committee during his lifetime; or
(b) 藉遺囑委任任何上述後裔在他去世後作為委員會成員。
(b) by will appoint any such descendant as such member from the day of his death.
(3) 第(2)款賦予提名任何人為委員會成員的權利，可由根據該款獲委 任的任何人轉移予他人，而獲轉移該權利的人可以類似方式將該權利轉移 。
(3) The right to nominate a person as a member of the committee, conferred by subsection (2), may be passed on by any person appointed thereunder to another person who may similarly pass on such right.
(4) 除第(5)款另有規定外，任何人除非是李寶椿的後裔，否則不得根 據第(2)或(3)款獲委任為委員會成員。
(4) Subject to subsection (5), no person shall be appointed as a member of the committee under subsection (2) or (3) unless he is a descendant of Li Po Chun.
(b) (如無李寶椿的後裔在香港居住和願意出任成員)僅在無李寶椿後裔 在香港居住和願意出任成員期間，委任任何其他人為成員。 (由1991年 第94號第5條修訂)
(b) if no descendant of Li Po Chun is resident in Hong Kong and willing to be a member, any other person for so long only as no descendant of Li Po Chun is resident in Hong Kong and willing to be a member. (Amended 94 of 1991 s. 5)
(6) 由總督根據第(1)(c)款委任的成員，任期為委任書所指明者，並可 獲再度委任。 (由1991年第94號第2條修訂)
(6) A member appointed by the Governor under subsection (1)(c) shall hold office for such period as may be specified in the letter of appointment and may be re-appointed. (Amended 94 of 1991 s. 2)
(8) 在委員會會議處理委員會事務所需的法定人數，可由根據第8條訂 立的規則訂定，而除非有如此訂定，否則4名成員即構成法定人數。 (由 1991年第94號第2條修訂)
(8) The quorum necessary for the transaction of the business of the committee at a meeting of the committee may be fixed by rules made under section 8 and, unless so fixed, 4 members shall form a quorum. (Amended 94 of 1991 s. 2)
(1) 受託人須在委員會指示下─
(1) The trustee shall, at the direction of the committee, apply-
