一葉舟輕，
A leaf-like boat goes light,
雙槳鴻驚。
At dripping oars wild geese take fright.
水天清、影湛波平。
Under a sky serene / Clear shadows float on calm waves green.
魚翻藻鑑，
Among the mirrored water grass fish play
鷺點煙汀。
And egrets dot the riverbank mist-gray.
過沙溪急，
Then I go past / The sandy brook flowing fast,
霜溪冷，
The frosted brook cold,
月溪明。
The moonlit brook bright to behold.
重重似畫，
Hill upon hill is a picturesque scene;
曲曲如屏。
Bend after bend looks like a screen.
算當年、虛老嚴陵。
I recall those far-away years: / The hermit wasted his life till he grew old;
君臣一夢，
The emperor shared the same dream with his peers.
今古虛名。
Then as now, their fame was left out in the cold.
但遠山長，
Only the distant hills outspread
雲山亂，
Till they're unseen, / The cloud-crowned hills look dishevelled
曉山青。
And dawn-lit hills so green.
