OLA/UNITAR Seminar on the Deposit of Treaty Actions with the Secretary-General and the Registration of Treaties

The seminar, sponsored by the Office of Legal Affairs of the Secretariat (OLA) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), will take place on 9 and 10 November 2005 at United Nations Headquarters.
这次为期两天的讨论会的目的是，介绍向秘书长交存条约的行动和条约登记事项。
The objective of the two-day seminar is to provide an overview of the deposit of treaty actions with the Secretary-General and the registration of treaties.
讨论会基本上是针对那些处理条约法事项、或具体参与拟定同多边条约有关的条约行动、以及参与按照《联合国宪章》第一百零二条进行的条约登记活动的常驻代表团成员、来自各国首都代表以及其他人员（特别是法律顾问）的需要。
The seminar is designed essentially to meet the needs of members of the Permanent Missions and representatives from capitals, and other personnel, in particular, legal counsellors and advisors, dealing with matters of treaty law, or specifically involved with the preparation of treaty actions with regard to multilateral treaties and with the registration of treaties pursuant to Article 102 of the United Nations Charter.
还将在参加多边条约所涉国内问题方面提供援助和指导。
Assistance and guidance will also be provided on the domestic aspects of participation in multilateral treaties.
讨论会将依据法律厅条约科编写和出版的《条约手册》。
The seminar is based on the Treaty Handbook, which was developed and published by the Treaty Section of OLA.

The Treaty Handbook is a practical guide to the depositary practice of the Secretary-General and the registration requirements of the Secretariat.
