The Subcommittee noted that the United Nations Programme on Space Applications was assisting developing countries and countries with economies in transition in participating in and benefiting from space-related activities as proposed in the recommendations of UNISPACE III, in particular those contained in “The Space Millennium: Vienna Declaration on Space and Human Development” and those contained in the plan of action contained in the report of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space on the review of the implementation of the recommendations of UNISPACE III (A/59/174).
