While acknowledging the adoption of the State party's strategy aimed at allowing internally displaced persons (IDPs) to lead a normal life while, at the same time, retaining their right to return,, its efforts to prepare a plan of action in this regard, as well as measures taken to create conditions for their voluntary return to their permanent places of residence, the Committee regrets the reported cases of forced eviction from collective centres in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Adjara regions, without a court decision or agreement of the persons concerned, and without proper compensation and support by governmental agencies.
