In the past, almost all Myanmar women dependents were occupied with housekeeping works only.

Nowadays, Myanmar women are doing business outside, keeping abreast with husbands.
工作的妇女有权享受1954年《社会保障法》条款所规定的权利，并根据该法受到很好的保护。
Working women are entitled to enjoy the provisions of the Social Security Act 1954 and are well protected by the Act.
161. 劳动部下设的社会保障委员会正在根据1954年《社会保障法》履行其职责。
The Social Security Board under the Ministry of Labor is carrying out its mandate in accordance with the Social Security Act 1954.
自该法生效以来，商业企业、工业企业、制造业、铁路、公共运输、受《仰光港口法》和《港口法》制约和保护的港口、受《开采法》和《油田法》制约和保护的矿厂和油田、劳动部工作人员、受该法制约和保护的工作人员，以及国家批准的一些实体都受该法的制约和保护。
