本指示可引稱為《華人慈善基金指示》。
These directions may be cited as the General Chinese Charities Fund Directions.
在本指示中，除文意另有所指外─
In these directions, unless the context otherwise requires-
“帳戶”(Account) 指由第4條設立的“華人慈善基金存款”帳戶；
""Account"" (帳戶) means the account ""Deposits-General Chinese Charities Fund"" established by direction 4;
“主席”(Chairman) 指華人廟宇委員會主席；
""Chairman"" (主席) means the Chairman of the Chinese Temples Committee;
“委員會”(Committee) 指由本條例第7條設立的華人廟宇委員會；
""Committee"" (委員會) means the Chinese Temples Committee constituted by section 7 of the Ordinance;
“基金”(Fund) 指由本條例設立的華人慈善基金。
""Fund"" (基金) means the General Chinese Charities Fund as established by the Ordinance;
基金須由主席控制並按照本條例第9條的規定運用。
The Fund shall be controlled by the Chairman and shall be applied in accordance with the provisions of section 9 of the Ordinance.
本條例規定欠付基金的款項及所有捐贈予基金的捐款及自願捐助，須 支付予庫務署署長，由他撥入名為“華人慈善基金存款”的帳戶。
All moneys due to the Fund as provided by the Ordinance and all donations and voluntary contributions thereto shall be paid to the Director of Accounting Services who shall credit them to an account entitled ""Deposits-General Chinese Charities Fund"".
主席獲委員會授權後，可將帳目內的款項投資於香港政府證券或委員 會指明的其他證券，投資所得的利息或股息須撥入帳戶。
Moneys in the Account may, with the authority of the Committee, be invested by the Chairman in any Government securities of the Colony or in such other securities as the Committee may specify, and interest or dividends received on account of investments shall be credited to the Account.
主席獲委員會授權後，可將委員會指明的部分基金投資變現。
The Chairman may, with the authority of the Committee, realize such part of the Fund's investments as the Committee may specify.
就須由基金支付的付款而呈交庫務署署長的所有憑單，須由主席或其 正式授權代表核證。
All vouchers submitted to the Director of Accounting Services in respect of payments to be made out of the Fund shall be certified by the Chairman or his duly authorized delegate.
主席獲委員會授權後，可註銷任何資產或他認為無法追討的拖欠基金 的債項。
The Chairman may, with the authority of the Committee, write off any asset or debt due to the Fund which he considers irrecoverable.
(2) 基金帳目及經簽署的帳目報表須由總督委任的核數師審計，並須 由核數師在他認為合適的任何報告(如有的話)的規限下核證該報表。
(2) The accounts of the Fund and the signed statement of the accounts shall be audited by an auditor appointed by the Governor, and the auditor shall certify the statement subject to such report, if any, as he may think fit.

本條例可引稱為《文武廟條例》。
This Ordinance may be cited as the Man Mo Temple Ordinance.

In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-
“東華三院”(Tung Wah Group of Hospitals) 指根據《東華三院條 例》(第1051章)而持續存在的法團。
""Tung Wah Group of Hospitals"" (東華三院) means the corporation continued by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ordinance (Cap 1051). (Replaced 4 of 1971 s. 12)
文武廟基金須用作貫徹以下宗旨─
The Man Mo Temple Fund shall be used for the following objects-
(a) 提供經費維持文武廟並使在廟內進行的傳統宗教典禮得以持續；
(a) to provide for the upkeep of the Man Mo Temple and the maintenance of the customary religious observances thereof;
(b) 令屬於文武廟基金的建築物獲保持妥善修葺，以及改建、加建、 拆卸或重建任何該等建築物；
(b) to keep the buildings belonging to the Man Mo Temple Fund in good repair and to alter, add to, pull down or rebuild any of the said buildings;
(c) 以拆卸現存房產或構築物並在原址重建的方式，或以東華三院認 為合適的任何其他方式，將屬於文武廟基金的物業發展或重新發展； ( 由1986年第13號第2條修訂)
(c) to develop or re-develop any property belonging to the Man Mo Temple Fund either by pulling down any existing premises or structures and rebuilding thereon or in any other manner as the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals see fit; (Amended 13 of 1986 s. 2)
(e) 協助惠澤香港華人社會的慈善機構；及
(e) to assist any charitable or philanthropic institution of benefit to the Chinese community of Hong Kong; and
