該選舉主任須對上述各 物件的安全及保安負責，直至遭押後的點票根據本規例第65(7)條或附表1 第58(6)條(視何者適用而定)恢復進行為止。
(3) The election materials must remain in the charge of the Returning Officer.
That Officer is to be responsible for their safety and security until the adjourned or postponed count is resumed under section 65(7) of this Regulation or section 58(6) of Schedule 1, as may be appropriate.
(4) 在本條中，“選舉主任”(Returning Officer) 指總選舉事務主任 為施行本條而指明的選舉主任。
(4) In this section ""Returning Officer"" (選舉主任) means a Returning Officer specified by the Chief Electoral Officer for the purposes of this section.
(1) 如換屆選舉、補選、界別分組選舉或選舉委員會選舉根據本附表押 後，選管會須在該項押後之後，在切實可行範圍內盡快指定日期以舉行換 屆選舉、補選、界別分組選舉或選舉委員會選舉(視何者適用而定)。
(1) If a general election, by-election, subsector election or the Election Committee election is postponed under this Schedule, the Commission is to, as soon as practicable after the postponement, appoint a date for holding a general election, by -election, subsector election or the Election Committee election, as may be appropriate.
(2) 如投票或點票根據本附表押後，選管會須在該項押後之後，在切實 可行範圍內盡快指定日期以進行投票或點票。
(2) If a poll or a count is adjourned under this Schedule, the Commission is to, as soon as practicable after the adjournment, appoint a date for holding a poll or the count.
(3) 如該項押後是因第2(3)(a)或(b)條提述的理由所引致的，上述的指 定日期必須在自本應舉行遭押後的選舉或投票或點票的日期起計的14天內 。
(3) If the postponement or adjournment is due to a reason referred to in section 2(3)(a) or (b), the appointed date must not be later than 14 days from the date on which the postponed election or the adjourned poll or count would have been held.
If the postponement or adjournment is due to the reason referred to in section 2(3)(c), the appointed date must not be later than 2 days from the date on which the postponed election or adjourned poll or count would have been held.
如押後是因第2(3)(c)條提述的理由所引致的，上述的指定日期必須在 自本應舉行遭押後的選舉或投票或點票的日期起計的2天內。
(3) If the postponement or adjournment is due to a reason referred to in section 2(3)(a) or (b), the appointed date must not be later than 14 days from the date on which the postponed election or the adjourned poll or count would have been held.
If the postponement or adjournment is due to the reason referred to in section 2(3)(c), the appointed date must not be later than 2 days from the date on which the postponed election or adjourned poll or count would have been held.
(4) 在第1、2及3條提述的每一情況下，選管會須在作出有關宣布的公 告內指明根據本條指定的日期以舉行有關換屆選舉、補選、界別分組選舉 、選舉委員會選舉或以進行有關投票或點票(視乎情況所需而定)。
(4) In each case referred to in sections 1, 2 and 3, the Commission is to, in the relevant notice making the declaration, specify the date appointed under this section to hold the relevant general election, by-election, subsector election, the Election Committee election, the poll or the count, as the case may require.
(5) 如在作出有關宣布的公告內指明上述日期並不切實可行，選管會須 在作出宣布的公告刊登或發布後，盡快在憲報刊登公告指明上述的日期。
(5) If it is not practicable to specify the date in the notice of declaration, the Commission is to specify it in a notice published in the Gazette soon after the publication of a notice of declaration.
If such publication is not practicable in the circumstances, the date must be specified in a notice published by some other means the Commission considers appropriate.
如在有關情況下刊登該公告並不切實可行，上述日期必須在選管會認為適 當而以其他方式刊登的公告內指明。
(5) If it is not practicable to specify the date in the notice of declaration, the Commission is to specify it in a notice published in the Gazette soon after the publication of a notice of declaration.
If such publication is not practicable in the circumstances, the date must be specified in a notice published by some other means the Commission considers appropriate.
(6) 根據本條指定日期以舉行補選，須受《立法會條例》(第542章)第 36(2)條的規限。
(6) The appointment of a date under this section for holding a by-election is subject to section 36(2) of the Legislative Council Ordinance (Cap 542)
本條例旨在就香港特別行政區立法會的組成、召開及解散，以及立法會 議員的選舉及有關事宜訂定條文。
To provide for the constitution, convening and dissolution of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; to provide for the election of Members of that Council; and to provide for related matters.
本條例可引稱為《立法會條例》。
This Ordinance may be cited as the Legislative Council Ordinance.
本條例的目的是實施《基本法》中關於立法會的規定。
The purpose of this Ordinance is to give effect to the provisions of the Basic Law relating to the Legislative Council.
(1) 在本條例中，除文意另有所指外─
(1) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-
“獲授權代表”(authorized representative) 就團體選民而言，指獲 該團體選民授權在選舉中投下該團體選民的選票的人；
""authorized representative"" (獲授權代表), in relation to a corporate elector, means the person authorized by the corporate elector to cast its vote at an election;
“團體”(body) 指屬法團或不屬法團的團體，亦包括商號或透過共同 有關利益而互相聯結的一組人士(可包括屬法團或不屬法團的團體)；
""body"" (團體) means an incorporated or unincorporated body, and includes a firm or a group of persons (which may include incorporated or unincorporated bodies) who are associated with each other through a shared relevant interest;
“補選”(by-election) 指並非通過換屆選舉而選出一名或多於一名議 員的選舉；
""by-election"" (補選) means an election to return a Member or Members otherwise than at a general election;
“立法會秘書”(Clerk to the Legislative Council) 包括任何獲委 任在立法會秘書缺勤期間或在立法會秘書職位懸空期間署理該職位的人；
""Clerk to the Legislative Council"" (立法會秘書) includes any person appointed to act in place of the Clerk when the Clerk is absent or when the office of Clerk is vacant;
“團體成員”(corporate member) 就團體選民而言，指屬該團體選民 成員或會員的團體；
""corporate member"" (團體成員), in relation to a corporate elector, means a body that is a member of the corporate elector;
“舞弊行為”(corrupt practice) 具有《舞弊及非法行為條例》(第 288章)給予該詞的涵義；
""corrupt practice"" (舞弊行為) has the meaning given by the Corrupt and Illegal Practices Ordinance (Cap 288);
“原訟法庭”(Court) 指高等法院原訟法庭；
""Court"" (原訟法庭) means the Court of First Instance;
“選舉委員會”(Election Committee) 指按照第IV部組成的選舉委員 會；
""Election Committee"" (選舉委員會) means the Election Committee constituted in accordance with Part IV;
“選舉委員會界別分組”(Election Committee subsector) 指按附表2 第1(4)條規定在選舉委員會有代表席位的界別分組；
""Election Committee subsector"" (選舉委員會界別分組) means a subsector represented on the Election Committee as provided by section 1(4) of Schedule 2;
“選舉管理委員會”(Electoral Affairs Commission) 指根據《選舉 管理委員會條例》(第541章)第3條設立的選舉管理委員會；
""Electoral Affairs Commission"" (選舉管理委員會) means the Electoral Affairs Commission established by section 3 of the Electoral Affairs Commission Ordinance (Cap 541);
